Remember the saying, "first impression is the last impression"? Well, this is one of those teas. Sencha green tea blend, with raspberry, lemon and rose petals. Opening its handsome container, just the visual affect of the baked/dried rose petals, with a follow-through of floral scent, brings anyone to a different world.
Loose leaf raspberry blend, reminds me of candied fruits. My first steeping...from its rising steam, is a noseful of bouquet. The clear green tea liqour and initial astringency, mid way to your tongue, with slight hint of lemon as the aftertaste. Dusting is minimal, which means the Sencha green tea is blended carefully. 2-3 steepings later, the character and green tea vegetal flavor elevates. I would recommend 1-2 minutes, and 3-4 minutes if you wanted to capture a plant/herbaceous aroma and flavor.
